I recently had a rather alarming phone call from someone trying to dupe me into handing over my banking details. They claimed to be from O2 and were offering a supposed discount on my mobile bill. Thankfully, I've never been a customer of theirs, so I saw straight through their ruse!

They said they were from Car Phone Warehouse, but as soon as I asked how they got my details and requested to be taken off their list, they just ended the call. Pretty dodgy if you ask me.

I got a call earlier from someone going on about phone deals, said they were from EE or at least I think I caught the name EE somewhere in the mess of their mumbling. I’m not even an EE customer! Honestly, the English was so broken, sounded like an overseas call centre trying and failing to be clear. One of the worst I’ve dealt with.
