Got a couple of calls from this number, both spam. I’d say don’t even bother picking up because it just lets the scammers know your number is live. The best thing is to just ignore or hang up straight away so they lose interest and hopefully stop trying to phish your details.

Got a text from o2 showing a security code, then this number rang me a few minutes later. After that, the number 01997 617479 gave me a call too. Watch out, looks like a scam effort.

I gave them a ring back and got told the number isn’t active anymore. They only called the once, so must not have been anything worth worrying about. Loads of sneaky people out there trying to rip off folks who don’t really understand how dodgy things have become these days.
