I received a rather unsettling call from someone pretending to be from HMRC, claiming they were initiating legal proceedings against me. They insisted that I hit button 1 immediately to prevent any further repercussions. Quite alarming, to say the least!

Yesterday, I got a couple of calls from this number (15/5/23), and then today I noticed another call from a number almost the same, sharing the 01208 prefix. Tried ringing back but the message said the number didn't exist anymore. Definitely blocking it!

Got two calls from this number today, no caller ID showing. Didn’t answer since I had no clue who it was!

Definitely sounds dodgy. Someone rang me pretending to be from HMRC, threatening legal action if I didn’t comply. Total scam if you ask me.
