I received a call from a woman with an Indian accent claiming that I had been chosen by O2 for a 30% discount as a gesture of loyalty. When I inquired how I could be sure it was genuinely O2 calling, she responded by saying she'd send a text with a "one-time code" to confirm it. Not buying it for a second, I decided to cut the conversation short and will instead check with O2's customer service directly. I'm not about to trust a random call from a landline all the way over in Bodmin!

Got a call from someone claiming to be EE. I played along for quite a while, acting like I was really interested. Then I gave them a proper earful, asking how they can live with themselves scamming folks like that. They just cut the call right after.

Got a call from someone with a really thick Asian accent, with other voices in the background also Asian. They claimed to be from Virgin Media. They seemed to assume I was on a Samsung phone, but when I said it wasn’t, they asked me what kind of phone I had! Definitely blocked after that!

Got a call from a Bodmin number as well. It kept ringing loads of times but if no one was available to pick up, it just cut off straight away. When someone actually answered, they were trying to push a phone on me that I definitely don’t want and probably can’t even have. Best thing is to just block it.

Received a call from a woman who claimed to be with O2, trying to sell me an iPhone 14 Max for just £39 a month. Seems a bit dodgy, if you ask me. Definitely something to keep an eye on!

Phone call said it was from PC World or Currys, trying to get me to switch mobile contracts even tho I told them I already have a company phone and the newest model. I ended up looking up their number online and asked why it came up as Tap Gateway Ltd, that’s when they finally dropped the call.

I received a call from this number which turned out to be nothing more than a nuisance. When I picked up, there was a noticeable delay before a woman with an Indian accent started speaking, but the tell-tale chatter of a call centre was unmistakable in the background. I didn’t waste any time and promptly ended the call before blocking the number. Such a hassle!
