They seemed to know my name, which I hadn’t verified, and inquired if I owned my home; again, I didn't confirm that. They mentioned I was with British Gas, which I also didn’t affirm. They went on to probe further into my situation, but I just replied that I was fine and ended the call. Quite the odd encounter, to say the least!
