Without a doubt, this was a scammer calling from some call centre. I could hear them trying to patch someone through after I answered. They claimed to be from Google, something about advertising and wanted to talk to the person in charge of the business. I told them no one was here and when they asked if I handled finances, I said no. Then the bloke said he’d ring back later and hung up. Honestly, best to just ignore calls like this, total time waster.

She claimed to be calling from 118 and wanted to talk to the owner of the business. When I said no one was around, she then asked if there was anyone else who could handle financial choices. I told her again no one was about, and she just ended the call!

Picked up the phone and some creepy voice said, quote, "You will die." Then they just cut off. Couldn’t really say if it was a man or woman, the voice sounded almost possessed or something. Really unpleasant experience.

Someone said they were from 118 Online. But the Telephone Preference Service says 118 Online say they’re not behind these marketing calls and that their number's been faked. Best not to pick up.

It took ages for the call to actually get through, then they asked if I was the business owner, I said no, then if I’m someone who handles money stuff, again I said no, and they just went quiet and ended the call.

Total scam, not from 118. She wanted to speak to the business owner, and when I said they were out, she asked for the person in charge of finances. 118 would never do that, I actually got a call from 118 a couple days back :D. When I challenged her about being from 118, she just dropped the call.

I received the most baffling phone call from a gentleman who sounded to be from the South Asian area. Honestly, I couldn't make heads or tails of who he claimed to be.

Surprisingly, they were going to transfer me to Customer Services regardless. I ended the call and promptly added them to my blacklist.
