I received a call from someone claiming to be inquiring about my PPI refund. They went on to say I was entitled to a reimbursement and requested my bank information. I wasn’t having any of it, so I firmly declined to provide those details. Without a second thought, I blocked the number right away!

Got a call from some sketchy number claiming to be from the UK benefits office. The person on the other end rambled on to themselves for a mere 31 seconds before they hung up. This is the second time I’ve received a call from this dodgy number. Definitely a scam, beware!

Received a dodgy phone call earlier, definitely not a UK number. Tried to tell me he was from the “UK Benefits Office.” Yeah, as if! Clearly, a call centre in India. Avoid at all costs!

This is concerning regarding UK benefits and life assurance. The caller hung up after babbling to himself for just over a minute. It's the first time I've received a call from this particular spoofed number, although they've previously tried their luck with different numbers. Definitely a scam!

I received a call about some PPI matter, but as soon as I picked up, they abruptly disconnected. Very peculiar!

I didn’t quite catch his name, but I had a brief natter with him for a minute or two. Eventually, I sent him on his way with a cheeky suggestion to go forth and multiply.

I didn't quite get the name of the firm that rang me up, but they mentioned something about my life insurance. Normally, my provider sends me a letter to keep me in the loop, so I can't help but feel this call might be dodgy.

I received a call claiming I was due a £1500 payout for PPI, which was quite a surprise since I've never made any such claims. It didn't take long for me to realise it was just another scam, so I promptly ended the call.

Claimed to be from a PPI recovery team, insisting that we had some funds owing from a certain prominent bank. He pressed for my bank information, but I stood my ground and refused to provide it.

Definitely a con artist! They claimed I was owed a PPI refund and wanted me to verify my name and address. I thought I’d be clever and provided a different address, but they didn’t bat an eyelid. Instead, they immediately jumped into requesting my bank details!

I received a call from a gentleman with quite an unusual accent, and I must say he was rather forceful in his approach. He raised his voice and mentioned something about a compensation amounting to £2,000, which didn't sit right with me. I had a strong feeling that the next step in his script would be an attempt to extract my banking information. Quite the dubious encounter, I must say!

A con artist attempted to pry my banking information from me, but when I mentioned that I was onto their scam, they just burst out laughing!

I tend to ignore calls from numbers I don’t recognise, so I didn’t bother answering this one. It never fails – if I’m unsure about who's on the other end, I let it ring!
