In my opinion, these phone calls range from being quite bothersome to potentially perilous. It's definitely not a trivial matter. Not everyone who picks up the phone has the same level of awareness that we do; if that were the case, these fraudsters would be out of action in no time.

I received a call from an Indian call centre purporting to be affiliated with Call Guardian, requesting my credit card information so they could keep blocking scam calls. It all seemed rather fishy!

What a scream that was! They had this foreign twang and sounded like they were reciting lines straight off a page, claiming they wanted to ‘restore’ my call blocking service. I simply ended the call.

I received a call from +44 1205 635143 and when I took the call, the line went completely silent. It's become alarmingly common to receive these types of calls from various similar numbers. No doubt, it's a scam. Honestly, it's infuriating! If I'm not available to answer, they don’t even bother leaving a message. It's beyond annoying. And even if you try to block these numbers, they still persist in trying to get through – I'm baffled by how they manage that! It really is quite maddening, isn't it?
