4 yearsI received a call from someone who seemed to have all my personal information, and they were quite unpleasant. They claimed to be from a so-called "financial welfare organisation." It makes me wonder if they're really connected to the industry or if it's all part of some dubious scam they're running. It strikes me as particularly unsettling since I'm currently liaising with financial advisors, and I’d hate for my data to fall into the wrong hands.4 yearsI keep getting calls from some credit checking company, don't even bother picking up. They already have your info anyway. Told one guy with a rude Indian accent that I'd report them for fraud and to the police. He just said fine, send them over to my office or whatever, then I just hang up and ignore. So annoying!4 yearsGot about 7 calls from this number and a similar one ending in 1 claiming to be from Financial Welfare Group. They said I’m on some government debt list, which is totally false. I’ve blocked them and reported the number, including a report on the FCA site today for being an unlicensed company. A guy with a strong Indian accent was really pushy and aggressive, threatening to freeze my bank accounts. Seriously, watch out for this - just hang up and block these calls straight away. Just a heads up: almost every company or person selling financial services in the UK must be authorised or registered by the FCA. This lot isn’t authorised and are targeting UK residents. It means if you pay them, you won’t be covered by the Financial Ombudsman Service or FSCS, so good luck getting your money back if it goes wrong.Financial Welfare GroupFCAUK4 yearsThey keep ringing all day, starting right at 9 in the morning. I don’t pick up and block them, but they seem to switch their numbers all the time.Submit Your Own Report (01204 963812)
