Somebody rang saying they were from 02 but couldn’t even tell me my name, just kept asking for details to ‘confirm’ the call. They promised a new contract with unlimited stuff and a phone delivered by Monday for just £8 a month. Yeah, right!

I received a call purporting to be from O2, and they even dispatched a verification message that looked as though it originated from an authentic O2 conversation. They were touting some sort of deal where I could supposedly get all sorts of freebies along with a brand new phone for just £8 a month!

Got a call from someone saying they were the O2 promo team based in Bolton. They asked me for some info to check if I was the account owner, offering a new unlimited plan with the first two months free at £8 per month. Felt a bit dodgy, so I didn’t give anything away.

Somebody rang me, said they were from 02, and warned me if I didn’t do the upgrade right away, they'd just cancel my contract. Pretty dodgy if you ask me.
