It’s probably just PPI, so if you ever took out a loan, it could be worth checking if you ended up paying PPI with it. I was curious once, so I contacted a PPI service and discovered I’d paid PPI on a home renovation loan from a long time back. After a while, I got a refund of more than £600 straight into my bank, and I’m really glad I looked into it because I’d never have known otherwise. Just to be clear, I’m not advertising any PPI firm or anything, just sharing my experience.

The guy spoke so fast I couldn't catch the start of what he was saying, then suddenly he asked, "Have you already filed for the accident claim?" Don't bother answering calls from this number, they're just trying to rip you off!!!!

Just got a missed call from this number, so I rang back. The person went "hello Mrs ????" (no idea who that is, definitely not me) and started babbling about some claims. Got a call from a PPI boiler room. They were fairly courteous, but were just trying to make a fast profit off PPI. Didn’t matter that I told them I never had PPI, they just wouldn’t accept it.

Save all the annoying numbers under one name in your contacts, like "Spam Ringers" or something similar, so you spot them straight away next time.
