Got a call from some bloke at Red Star on 01290240129. Told him I wasn’t interested, same as I told the lot who called me like 6 times over two days. When I made that clear, I ended the call. Then, the same guy rings straight back on this number. Proper rude and a bit threatening, even started telling me I should listen better! Like, seriously? I just dropped the call.

This number has been calling me over and over on my phone, plus a bunch of other ones linked to the same outfit, Redfine. They claimed they needed to refund some fees my bank allegedly took from me. When I joked about giving them my bank details, the bloke just ended the call straight away. If this is a proper business, why isn't someone shutting them down? It feels like they're just trying to scam folks, which should be illegal.

Got a call from some PPI firm. I stupidly called back and spoke to a well-spoken bloke who said I was due over £600 for some bank service I have no clue about. Then he pushed me to admit I’d had it for some specific time. Ended the call fast and blocked the number. Next thing, another call from a different number but same company. Had to block that one too straight away.

Got a call from someone claiming I had an MBNA credit card way back before 2009 and that I was due some money. Then they said I needed to be transferred to a different department and asked for a reference number or something like that. It all sounded really sketchy, so I just ended the call. Total dodgy vibe!

But I ended up cutting the call when the bloke kept on nattering, asking what I'd do with any refund, and he wouldn't straight up say where he got my info from. Got a really pushy bloke claiming he was from Redstart, kept ringin' me up askin' loads of questions. First call came from 01977232094. I told him he sounded like a scammer and just hung up. Then he called back straight away on 1204238965, interrupting me and saying he knew my name, where I live, even my bank details. I still didn’t answer any of his questions and just ended the call again. Proper dodgy fella.

Some bloke called me up, knew my full name and even the address of a uni dorm I lived in like 2 years back! He claimed to be from something like Registar or maybe something ending in -star and told me I was supposedly owed some money from my tenancy there. I told him that was an old student accommodation and I’m not living there anymore. Then he switched tack and started asking about credit cards or loans I might have, which I said no to - as an international student, I had none of that stuff. Suddenly, he got all chatty, asking where I’m from and called me a “success story” and some other cheesy compliments - they probably recording everything too. Then he asked if I had any current accounts I was paying fees on. After all that, he just said cheers and ended the call. Proper strange, would steer clear.
