Got a call from some bloke at Red Star on 01290240129. Told him I wasn’t interested, same as I told the lot who called me like 6 times over two days. When I made that clear, I ended the call. Then, the same guy rings straight back on this number. Proper rude and a bit threatening, even started telling me I should listen better! Like, seriously? I just dropped the call.

This number has been pestering me repeatedly on my mobile, alongside a few other digits from the same outfit, Redfine. Apparently, they claim they're looking to reimburse me for some bank fees. When I quipped that I assumed they’d want my bank details, he promptly hung up. Isn’t there some way to put a stop to this so-called company? They’re clearly flouting the law by trying to rip people off!

Got a call from some PPI firm. I stupidly called back and spoke to a well-spoken bloke who said I was due over £600 for some bank service I have no clue about. Then he pushed me to admit I’d had it for some specific time. Ended the call fast and blocked the number. Next thing, another call from a different number but same company. Had to block that one too straight away.

Received a rather odd phone call claiming that I possessed an MBNA credit card prior to 2009, and apparently there's some money owed to me from it! They then insisted I be transferred to another department that supposedly had a reference number? I decided it was best to end the call there as it seemed rather suspicious!

Got a call from Red Star Financial Management about PPI stuff. I listened at first, even tho there was loads of noise and people shouting in the back. But I ended up cutting the call when the bloke kept on nattering, asking what I'd do with any refund, and he wouldn't straight up say where he got my info from. Since then, they’ve rung me from three separate area codes. Seems dodgy to me. I’d steer well clear of these lot.

Got a really pushy bloke claiming he was from Redstart, kept ringin' me up askin' loads of questions. First call came from 01977232094. I told him he sounded like a scammer and just hung up. Then he called back straight away on 1204238965, interrupting me and saying he knew my name, where I live, even my bank details. I still didn’t answer any of his questions and just ended the call again. Proper dodgy fella.

Red Star Finance rang me about a PPI claim on my credit cards. They weren't willing to listen and kept trying to transfer me to a senior manager, so I just ended the call. Then they phoned again from another number, so I blocked them both.

I was quite taken aback when someone rang up knowing my full name and even the student accommodation where I lived two years back! This chap claimed to be from an outfit called RegiSTAR or something similar. He alleged I had some funds due from my time there. I promptly clarified that I had vacated that place ages ago as it was just student digs. He then pivoted the conversation towards my financial situation, probing whether I had any credit cards or loans. I informed him that I was merely an international student, with no debts or overdrafts hanging over me. To my astonishment, he became overly amicable, asking about my origins and calling me a "success story"-all that sort of flattery, which I suspect he might have been jotting down. Eventually, he inquired whether I had a bank account racking up fees. After seemingly getting nowhere, he thanked me and abruptly ended the call. Quite the odd experience-best to steer clear of these calls!
