Got a call from a broadband company, rang me like 5 times within an hour. Ended up blocking their number now.

This number has rung me loads of times now. My phone flagged it as a scam. When I tried to ring it back from a different phone, it just went straight to a dead tone. The one time I actually picked up, no one said a word and the call just ended. Best to steer clear, it looks like a total scam.

Got a call from this number saying they were from Virgin Media, supposed to be my internet provider. They said there was an issue with my connection and it had to be switched off. I said I’d ring Virgin myself to confirm, but the lady insisted she was from their tech support and no need to call them. I said I’d double check, then they just dropped the call. Felt a bit off to me.

Some bloke with a Chinese accent claimed he was calling from O2. I told him he wasn’t, and he asked why I thought that. When I asked why he was ringing me in particular, he said I had called O2 and this was a callback to give me a 45% discount. I told him I definitely hadn’t contacted O2 as I have no dealings with them - plus the number he was calling was a business one through O2, so no chance of such offers! Then the line just cut off. Pretty clear it’s a scam!

Someone rang saying they were from Three mobile offering an upgrade. I’d only just renewed with Three on a 24 month deal last month. The lady asked all sorts about my current phone, which I said she must already have on file. She said she had all my info but couldn’t share it because of GDPR.
