Some bloke called saying he was from social housing and wanted to check if I lived at a certain place. I told him I doubted he was legit since someone from social housing should already know where I live. He just said sorry if I didn’t trust him and hung up. Honestly, scams are everywhere these days. My advice is to be careful and don’t spill info that companies already hold. Proper firms usually don’t ring you out of the blue or email; they send a letter through the post with a proper contact number you can verify first.

I got a call from someone who introduced themselves but spoke so muffled I could hardly catch what they said. They asked if I was still having issues at home, and I told them no. Curious, I asked where they had found my number, and they claimed it came from the council and housing association records. I told them I don’t live in any housing association property - I live with my mum in our own house. Then they said something about me not living at that address. I admitted that’s right, and with nothing else to say, they just said “okay” and ended the call.
