BEWARE of scammers! It’s really important to report every scam call or text you get to the police’s fraud system. Just search for ‘action fraud’ on Google and find the ‘police.uk’ site. Once there, go to the section about reporting phishing scams and carefully read all the instructions. Then enter all the info about the scam, such as any links or website addresses you saw. You don’t need to sign up or give personal details unless you’ve actually lost money. Reporting these scams helps the police get a better handle on how widespread these dodgy attempts are.

Got a call from the same number 4 times today. When I told them I wasn’t interested in buying anything, the person claimed they weren’t selling anything. As soon as I got a bit louder, they just ended the call. Best to just block and forget about it.

They keep calling non stop, always some call centre from India trying to scam you out of your info, total parasites! They often use the Bolton area code, but it’s just VoIP internet numbers so the code could be from anywhere - just a trick to make you pick up.

I keep getting calls from the same bunch of scammers, but whenever I block one number, they just ring me from a number that looks almost the same. All the calls seem to come from the Bolton region. It's so annoying how these fraudsters just keep popping up with new phone numbers to bother people. Honestly, the laws should be tougher on this because it's the vulnerable people who end up falling for their tricks.

There’s a couple of posts here explaining how to stop all these dodgy scam calls, it’s a bit of a hassle but I’ve done it myself. I keep reporting any scam texts and calls to the police’s online system (thankfully I saved the link in my favourites). The thing is, we’d need thousands of people doing the same before it makes a difference. Loads of folks report scam calls on this site all the time. I even got a reply from my MP, which was quite interesting, but honestly, one person raising concerns won’t change much on its own.

Over the last couple days, I've gotten about a dozen calls from this number. I've now reported it to the National Fraud Intelligence Bureau and they've told me the number is suspended. If you get calls from a number like this, be careful and do NOT share any personal info - it’s definitely a scam.

Over the past couple of days, this number has called me about 7 times. Seems like it’s from some sort of call centre, probably using different extensions since the last three digits keep changing. I got a call from someone who said her name was Kelly, and she asked if I was living at an address I actually stayed at back in 2016. When I told her no, she just ended the call straight away. They've called me 5 times this week but I didn’t answer.

This morning, at 9:16am on 29/3/22, I got a call from 01204 200249, and again at 14:16pm from 01204 200231. Each time I picked up, they just hung up straight away. The number 01204 200249 actually called twice yesterday evening too, around 19:00 and 19:08. I've decided to block it now since it seems like some sort of scam. The only reason I even answered was because my Dad is receiving end of life care, and I thought it might be related to that :( On top of that, 0161 550 7152 kept ringing me - six calls over just a couple of hours! That number’s got the block too!
