Got a call about insurance stuff, sounded like a total scam to me.

I received a call from someone purporting to be carrying out a survey for my local council regarding a new government initiative. When I inquired about the name of my council, they abruptly terminated the call. Clearly, it’s a dodgy operation!

Got a call from Bolton social housing about repairs. They claimed I kept phoning them but I’ve actually blocked their numbers. Told them to stop as it felt like harassment then she just hung up. The numbers they’ve been using are 01204200188, 01204200219, and 01204208022. Really need to put a stop to them.

Got a call from a woman claiming she was from a housing association. Had to really push her to say which council she was referring to, and she brought up my old council. Told her I don’t live there now, and she then wanted to know about my current housing, which I refused to share and ended the call.

Got a call from someone claiming to do a survey for a government project, asking about my house like mould, damp, drafty windows and stuff. A lady rang me yesterday from a similar number, but I had a bad feeling so I blocked it. Now they’ve started ringing me from this new number 01204208022.

Got a call from someone saying they were from a social housing and tenant support group tied to local councils, asking if there was mould in my property. They wouldn’t give me the company name and kept saying the line was bad. Then another person came on who still couldn’t give any real answers. Total scam, I’m telling you! Blocked the number straight away.

This was supposedly from some Government Council scheme. They claimed I had reported a problem 5 times that the council didn’t reply to. Then they said I’m on a PRIORITY LIST and that I HAVE to pick up their next call. They already had all my info. Honestly, felt really dodgy. I would say DO NOT CALL THEM BACK or even pick up if they ring again. Feels super sketchy to me!

Got a call earlier from someone claiming to be with a housing repairs team, saying they offered free repairs for council and housing association tenants. They gave me the wrong name and address. When I asked about the wrong name, they just said it was probably an error and repeated the address again to "prove" who they were. I told them anyone can find an address by postcode and I wasn’t interested in whatever they were pushing. They tried to keep me on the line, but I told them I thought it was a dodgy call and I wasn’t going to talk any more. Then they just hung up.

Someone just rang me asking if I’m still at X address about doing up my bathroom and kitchen, said they’re with L&Q. Problem is, I moved out of there ages ago. These scam calls and cold callers really need to be cracked down on.

Got a call from 0120 200188 but didn’t pick up since they left no message. Blocked the number straight away. There’s a load of other numbers doing the same. I honestly can’t figure out how these firms get hold of our numbers just to push sales or scams, it’s just not right.

Got a call from this number saying they were from social housing about some repairs that apparently havent been done!! They knew my name but gave me an address I’ve never come across before. I told them it must be a mistake and related to where I live now, but they kept pushing to find out my current address!

@ this bloke with a funny accent called up, saying he was checking if i received some info pack in the post. He gave an address i aint lived at for about 8 years. It was all about trying to lower my life insurance. After a bunch of pointless questions, he actually connected me to an adviser right away! If i ever want to speak to an adviser normally, it takes ages, so this was a surprise.

they called me today but i didnt pick up, they just hung up and then when i rang back it went to some music voicemail thing, ive gone ahead and blocked the number now
