over the past 3 days, ive had 6 calls all showing different numbers but from bolton area codes (i live miles away frm bolton). every number is the same apart from the last few digits. i didnt even pick up since i figured they were spam but its getting out of hand now. never had this many annoying calls from one area in such a short time before.

This bloke has rung me up five times now, so after seeing the comments here I decided to pick up. Somehow, he knew my exact address which freaked me out proper, ‘cos I’m worried he might be keepin' an eye on me. I’m really anxious about me and my family’s safety. I told him to stop scamming people and leave them alone, then I just hung up. I’m going through domestic abuse myself. I tried to stay calm during the call, but honestly, I’m so scared and my anxiety’s off the charts. Feeling really low and proper frightened right now.

Some woman rang my husband’s phone looking for me. She said she was from social housing and wanted to check our place for any damp or damage. Thing is, we haven’t lived at the address she mentioned for over 13 years.

I get calls from spoofed numbers every day. Feels like it’s either the same scammers using different fake numbers or maybe different scammers, but all using spoofed numbers for sure. Loads of calls daily from these types of numbers, even ones starting with 0204, it’s nuts. I just don’t pick up these days but they keep ringing. Proper annoying, these people are ####. I got a call from someone claiming to be with the council support team. They asked loads of questions about problems with my house and even wanted me to snap some photos and send them over on WhatsApp. Felt a bit dodgy if you ask me.

They’ve called me several times claiming they’re inspecting ex-council and housing association properties to check if they meet living standards. When I asked which housing association I belonged to, she just kept repeating her question and asking me to answer. I told her I wouldn’t say anything without my housing association’s approval. She then asked again for my answer and I repeated that I wasn’t talking without permission, and that’s when she just hung up on me.
