I told them I don’t manage any utilities here, then they asked if they could speak to my partner using this number. I said no since it’s my personal line. I’ve since blocked the number.

I got a call from 01202 925470 and the person on the other end already had my name. As soon as I said it was me, they just hung up. I only found out it was 1-2-1 utilities when I rang back and got an answerphone message. Feels like these could be scammers trying to steal identities or something dodgy like that. Got a call from them yesterday (picked up cos the number was from Bournemouth), the guy actually knew my name. He claimed it was for a utility survey. When I mentioned it wasn’t a great time (my hubby was undergoing chemo in hospital), he quickly got quite cheeky and rude, saying it’d only take a few minutes. I told him I couldn’t as I was at the hospital with my husband and then ended the call. Blocked the number straight away.
