some bloke called himself dan, ringing me about a “government supported loft insulation scheme” - sounded dodgy straight away. when i asked him to explain which government scheme he meant, he just cut me off and hung up. total phishing attempt if you ask me.

Got a call about loft insulation, saying my info hadn’t been updated in the last year. Bit odd, since I live in a flat and don’t have a loft at all. The person was quite polite, but when I asked which property they were talking about, they couldn’t give me an answer and just hung up on me.

Somebody rang me saying they were from an energy advice group, warning that the recent loft insulation might lead to damp issues. They told me not to panic but insisted it needed inspecting. When I asked what address they were referring to, they seemed clueless and just said they were located in Oxford. Then, as soon as I questioned why they were calling from Bournemouth, they just ended the call. Definitely felt like a scam, probably trying either to get into the house or pull off a con.

Got a call from someone named Bob who said it was about insulation. I told him I had no idea what he meant, then the line just dropped. Number looked local but totally a scam.

A guy named Tom rang me up, very polite, saying it was about some loft insulation funded by the government. Thing is, we've never had any done and our phone isn't even on any lists. Got a bit suspicious so I searched the number online and it turns out it’s the same one linked to that facemask scam my mate shared on Facebook. Apparently, that dodgy number starts with 01202 as well.

Got a robo call with some recorded message about face masks being recommended now, and they kept saying press a button to pay. Pretty obvious it was a scam.
