I can't believe how persistent these dodgy individuals are! They keep attempting to peddle appliance insurance to my elderly mum, who has never even had such a thing. It’s absolutely infuriating! Just a word of warning - steer clear of these con artists at any cost!

We recently purchased a washer and dryer from Currys, and I'm wonderin if this Bournemouth number somehow got our info from there? We didn't pick up the call and no message was left. I've gone ahead and blocked 01202878282 now.

They keep ringing my landline nearly every day for months now. Never leaves a message and the call just drops. When I try to ring back, the number that shows up is 080002314883951022.

They claimed to be from Homeserve and said I had a year left on my insurance for white goods but still needed to pay, which seemed odd! I asked them to post the info through but, obviously, I never got anything. They rang me again later, but I didn’t answer. They knew my name and even mentioned a password I sometimes use.

Total insurance fraudsters calling me nonstop!

What really bothers me about these calls isn’t just that they ring up outta nowhere, but how they somehow have a password of mine. When I answered, the bloke immediately said something like, "You’re blah blah, with the password XXXXX." No clue how they got hold of that password, but it’s one I’ve used before. That turns this whole thing from a random call into a shameless con - they’re trying to trick me into believing I’ve got an account with them. Feels dodgy, if not flat-out illegal. Definitely not on the level.

I had some bloke ring me earlier claiming to represent Utility first. He began chattering away about some insurance deal they've got going on and mentioned something about an upgrade for me. Oddly enough, he rattled off my address and postcode, which made me suspicious. I promptly informed him that I didn’t have any insurance policy with them, and wouldn’t you know it, he hung up right after that. Definitely sounds dodgy to me!

Got a washing machine from Currys PC World, and today I discovered my info’s been nicked from their system. I got a call from Utility Smart trying to sell me insurance for white goods. They already had my name, phone number, and the brand of my washing machine. Makes me wonder where they got all that from??

Got a call from Utility Smart Club. They tried to sell me insurance for my telly at £5 a month instead of the £7 something I already pay to Legal and General. Weirdly, they already had some of my bank info, probably from Legal and General. Silly me, I gave them the rest of my bank details. I tried ringing them back just fifteen mins later but the number wasn’t even recognised. Thankfully, there’s a bank nearby so I went there straight away to cancel my card.

I've noticed some calls coming in on my mum’s phone-she's 80 and they keep pestering her about appliance insurance. She's already got a ban on unsolicited calls, but that didn’t stop them! They even seemed to have details about her existing coverage, which is rather suspicious. It’s all quite dodgy if you ask me!

This number rang me and when I picked up there was silence so I blocked it. Not even two minutes later, it called again, some guy asking if I was Mr W#######. I said I’m fed up with these calls, who’s this? He didn’t reply when I asked who Mr W####### was. I told him to just piss off because these nuisance calls are too much. I put the phone down, but it rang again - same bloke asking if I was David Smith? I said no, who are you then? I started to respond but he told me to f##k off and hung up. Proper annoying tit.

Got a call from Utilities Smart Club, and they were really sneaky with how they spoke. They kept telling me I wasn’t on the “cheap###” plan and that they’d switch me over, making it seem like they were doing me a favour. Thing is, I’m pretty sure I’m not even with that company, so most likely I’m paying for two plans on the same device. Watch out for this, it’s dodgy!

Got a call from this Utility Smart Club lot pushing 'service plans' - they were cold calling. Didn’t seem dodgy though, looked pretty legit. When I found out my mum had signed up, they happily refunded her and shut down the account. I chatted with someone called Sarah in customer service, and honestly, they weren’t the worst cold callers my elderly mum’s had.

It appears to be an insurance con, much like many others have reported. What truly concerns me, however, is that they provided me with a password I’ve previously used with various other firms. The only way they could’ve accessed that info is through hacking or purchasing my details from another source, both of which are against the law.

Got a call from some bloke about my kitchen gadgets, and he’d also rung the day before about a warranty for my new boiler. Proper pushy and wouldn’t hang up easy, even when I mentioned the "Sale Of Goods Act" covers time limits and all. Seems like they’ve got my info from some database. Be cautious and don’t share anything personal.

Utilitysmart keep pushing this "appliance insurance" that you really dont want, and they waste no time trying to get your bank info. Other than their website, you can’t find any info about them anywhere else which seems pretty sketchy to me?

They just scammed my mum, she’s 86 and has had a few strokes. Basically, they picked the perfect mark to ring up and trick her into giving her bank details, so they could charge her for some useless insurance. Proper lowlife stuff. I haven’t even got a clue who they are to ring and sort it out. All she was left with was their phone number.

My older family member keeps getting calls from what looks like Bournemouth numbers. The caller might be switching to different Bournemouth numbers and could be the same firm that falsely claimed they were collecting fees from a promo deal to sell call blocking, but then took £149 after 2 years! When I called the original Bournemouth number (not the new one), the person who answered maybe said Utility Smart, though I'm not totally certain. Just be really cautious with this outfit and look out for your elderly loved ones, whether it is the same company or something similar.

Utility Smart rang my elderly mum even though she's on the TPS and tried to get her to agree to a service plan for kitchen appliances costing £75 every three months. I've been trying to get through to their "Customer Support, Sales and Service Requests" line and sent emails but no response at all. Obviously, the bank has stopped the payment. Honestly, it's high time someone did something about these lot!
