My mum received a call from a chap named Alex at Medical Alert, inquiring whether she had crossed the age of 50. It makes one wonder, can't the police step in and handle situations like this?

I had a peculiar phone call earlier from a bloke claiming to represent a medical centre. He informed me that I qualified for a certain badge, whatever that entails. Rather rudely, he cut me off mid-sentence! Just a heads up for everyone out there - stay vigilant!

That bloke ‘Alex’ really does seem to be everywhere. He just keeps blabbing on, either not hearing a word you say or maybe just ignoring it. Then, out of the blue, he gave me a ring on 01202-794899 not long after. Guess he’s never come across the TPS list, or he simply couldn’t care less. What a right annoying sod!

Total scammers! They tried to sell me a "complimentary" medical alert badge, but it definitely had strings attached.

This chap ‘Alex’ seems to be quite a character, doesn’t he? He prattles on incessantly and it appears he’s either incapable of hearing you or simply doesn’t bother to pay attention. To top it off, he called me on 01202-794899 shortly afterwards. It seems he’s blissfully unaware of the Telephone Preference Service, or perhaps he’s just indifferent to the whole idea. What a right muppet!

Over the span of two days, got a couple of calls. Every time I picked up, they just hung up straight away. Pretty sure it's some kind of scam.

They called me a couple of times but ended up just hanging up each time.

Got a call from a firm (didn’t catch the name) telling me I qualified for a free medical alert bracelet. They asked if I was above 50 and if I used a cane or walker. Then they tried to find out if I had any other health problems, but I told them I wasn’t comfortable sharing that info.

Oh yeah, got a call saying I could get a free medical pendant or something like that. When I asked who they were and how they knew nothing about me, they just dodged the question. I mean, if you’re saying I’m due some kind of freebie, you’d expect you’d at least know my name or some basic info, right? Felt like a total scam to me, so I just hung up. Seems pretty obvious you shouldn’t trust calls like that.

This number 01202794901 called me earlier offering some sort of medical alert pendant thing, but I didn't pick up. Tried going back to the call but looks like they've been blocked now. Bit annoying really.

Got a missed call at 2.10pm on Wednesday, 2nd Feb 2022. Didn’t pick up and there wasn’t any voicemail either. When I looked the number up, looks like it’s some dodgy medical scam out of Bournemouth.

Got a call just after midday on Wednesday 2nd February 2022 while I was out. They didn’t leave any voicemail. I think I’ve seen a number like this before ages ago and it ended up being one of those cold calls about medical stuff.

Someone named Alex phoned me claiming I qualified for some kind of medical pendant. When I asked for the name of the person they were trying to get hold of, they just went quiet and ended the call. This number, starting with 0120, has called me a few times already, but every time I pick up, they hang up straight away.

I received a call from a gentleman who introduced himself as Alex, claiming to be from a Medical Centre. He mentioned that according to their records, I qualified for some sort of (I couldn’t quite catch if it was a badge or perhaps something else entirely). He then asked if I was over 50 years of age. I questioned him on what basis I might be considered eligible, and before I knew it, he abruptly hung up on me. He did say he was calling from Dorset, though. Quite odd, really!

I received a phone call from a chap named Alex, who claimed that their records indicated I was over 50 and thus qualified for a Medic Alert system. When I pretended not to know what he was on about, he proceeded to explain the service and queried my interest. I pointed out that he was engaging in cold calling, to which he admitted, and I reminded him that such practices are against the law. He acknowledged this and promptly hung up.

I find it rather puzzling how they can advertise a medical alert badge as 'free' when it actually costs £29 a month. The notion of free seems a bit misleading, doesn’t it? Where's the transparency in that claim?

I received a call from a chap named Alex earlier today, claiming that I qualify for a complimentary medic-alert button. I promptly requested him to remove my details from their list. I'm absolutely convinced it’s a dodgy scam call.

On the 1st of February, 2022, I received a call from a rather eloquent gentleman touting a so-called ‘complimentary’ medical alert device. The number he dialled from was 01202 79898. When I expressed my scepticism about the whole ‘free’ offer, he abruptly hung up. To my surprise, he rang me again the following day, this time from 01202 794901. He seemed entirely focused on his sales pitch, refusing to acknowledge my remarks. I reminded him, “You called me yesterday and ended the conversation abruptly!” In the end, I hung up as he persisted with his misleading spiel.

I received a call from Medic Alert, and they informed me that I was eligible for one of their services. When I inquired who they were referencing, the person on the other end insisted it was me and then launched into a scripted spiel. I barely managed to get a word in edgewise before I hung up on the call. I suggest you do the same if you find yourself in a similar situation!
