I received another call today, a Saturday just after 1pm, marking the third time this week. Given that it’s outside typical working hours, I’m at a bit of a loss. I don’t have any acquaintances in Bournemouth nor any dealings with businesses in the area, so I didn’t answer as I didn’t recognise the number as someone I know. Got a call from some bloke who offered to sign me up so I’d be on a list if I ever needed a tradesperson quickly. I kept asking how he even found my number since I’m ex-directory, but he just ignored me. Then he wanted my email, and when I said I don’t have one, he just hung up abruptly. Someone rang saying they could do a free check on my loft insulation to see how well it works and if there’s any mould. They kept asking loads of questions, like if I’d done a loft conversion, which I thought was pointless so I told them. Then they wanted to know my age, I asked why that mattered and told them it wasn’t relevant. They seemed to get a bit annoyed and just ended the call. Had a rather peculiar phone call today. The chap on the other end inquired about my age, to which I cheekily replied that I was 89 (a bit of a tall tale, you see). He then proceeded to inform me about my roof supposedly being at risk of caving in due to some dodgy loft insulation, claiming he would send a surveyor to provide an estimate for its replacement. I mentioned that my nephew happens to be a chartered surveyor and has already had a gander at the condition of the house for me. However, he insisted that it needed to be examined by his so-called 'own' surveyor, as others simply wouldn’t suffice. Got a call from this number but there was no message left or anything, so I'm guessing it's some sort of scam. I've gone ahead and blocked it now.

So I just got a ring on my home phone from 01202794763. The bloke on the other end claimed he was nearby and wanted to talk about my energy supply. I asked if he was sure he’d dialled the right number, and then he just ended the call. Figured I’d look them up on Who Called Me to see what’s what.

This bloke claimed he was some kind of expert on home insulation. When I asked where he got my number from, he just wouldn't say and then abruptly ended the call.

He claimed to be from an energy consultancy out of Reading. Given the way he spoke and that I live up in the north west, I reckoned it was a dodgy call straight away, so I just ended the call.

Got a call from someone saying they were an energy advisor from around here. They wanted to know if I owned the house and if the loft had been insulated recently, like in the past decade. I told them it’s actually a new flat I live in and then they just ended the call. They spoke well and seemed pretty friendly, maybe good enough for voice acting. Shame they’re using their skills to try and trick folks.

I got a call from 01202 793763 but didn’t pick up. Decided to check the number here before calling back. Seems dodgy, so it’s blocked now.

Got a call from someone claiming to be with an energy advisory service. They wanted to know if I owned the house but I told them I rent from the council. After that, the person apologised for troubling me and ended the call. Then, just a couple of minutes later, they rang back but I decided to just not pick up.

Got a call from someone who said they were from an 'energy advice firm' or something like that. When I asked them which company they were actually representing, they just ended the call straight away. Total scam, I reckon.
