A chap rang me up claiming to be an energy efficiency consultant, whatever that entails. He started prattling on about loft insulation and chattering about energy providers. There was definitely something fishy about the whole conversation, so I said I was just stepping out of my house and promptly hung up.

someone phoned me about heating and asked if i recall some insulation put in my loft floor years ago to help keep heat. i had a faint memory of it but wasnt sure. they claimed it was a government program. then they asked my age because they said it only concerned people over 50. they went on to say the government now believes the stuff used isn’t effective. i told them i’m 83 and they said they’d send me some info through the post. now i’m quite anxious about what i might have agreed to.

I got a call from a woman claiming to be an energy efficiency consultant for my postcode. She refused to tell me the company she was representing. Felt like a total scam to me.

I could hear people talking in the background, sounded like a call centre or something. They just ended the call abruptly without a word.
