Got a call from this number earlier today, saying they were from some housing disrepair department.. They jumped straight into talking about an address I don’t recognise at all without first checking who I was. Seems dodgy to me, if it were legit I’d imagine they’d verify the caller’s identity before blabbing details like names and addresses over the phone to a complete stranger. Definitely not the right way to handle sensitive info.

Somebody called and was mumbling about housing or something like that. When I said I didn’t understand what they meant, they just ended the call straight away.

A woman called Hayley, sounded like she had an accent from abroad, said she was with some housing repairs team. She refused to give me any email address but gave a dodgy website to shut me up. Tried the site, no such thing as www.hdr.co.uk. They call me every month and I’ve told them to remove my number, but they just ignore it - definitely breaking GDPR rules. How come a company like this, with a bunch of complaints about that number, still gets to keep ringing? BT could easily block their lines, right? Just another example of how things are out of control around here in 2023.

Today, I got a call from 01202281194. The caller claimed to be affiliated with Social Housing, aiming to chat about repairs at my property, even mentioning my address! I informed her that I own my place and there weren't any repairs needed. She promptly apologised for the misunderstanding and hung up. After looking into the phone number, I discovered it was linked to Bournemouth, which struck me as quite peculiar considering my home is in Cheshire. I've since added the number to my blocked list!
