Got an answerphone message about some charges on my card - £199 for Amazon and £899 for some international money transfer site, with options to press buttons to approve or dispute them. Checked my banking app, no sign of these transactions anywhere. Rang up my bank to double-check both my debit and credit cards. Turns out it’s definitely a scam. The number looked local but I suspect it’s fake, not the real source of the call.
