Received a rather unexpected phone call, and I have a hunch it's some sort of scam. Just a heads-up for everyone to stay vigilant!

I keep getting calls from numbers that show up on my phone as ‘Boiler Care Team’. It’s strange coz these are landline numbers, and over the past few weeks I’ve had at least three calls from different numbers, all with different area codes but same name on the display. Not sure how they do it. Obviously, I just don’t pick up and block them straight away.

I got a call from some energy company group, but then suddenly they switched gears and started pushing wills on me!

So frustrating, I was just having a chat with a mate when this number popped up and interrupted me.

Received a call supposedly from EON, inquiring about our utility bill details. Quite suspicious, to be honest.

Not sure who it was, but they didn’t leave any voicemail. Since the number’s local, you’d think if it was important they’d bother to leave a message. Looks like a scam to me. I've gone ahead and blocked the number now.

After a quick hesitation, a woman picked up and said she was calling from the energy company, but her voice sounded distant and definitely not local. I just ended the call straight away.

This number has been ringing me every single day, but it stops just before I pick up, which makes me think it’s some kind of automated spam robo-call. If they won’t bother to leave a message or even send a text to say who they are, there’s no way I’m calling back without knowing who it is!
