Got a call from this number yesterday claiming to be an energy consultant in my area. Got a call from someone named Chris claiming to be an 'energy specialist' from 01202159718. I barely managed to say anything as he just kept going on! When I finally asked where he got my unlisted number from, he said it came from 'the energy database'. Then when I asked who he was after, he just hung up on me.

It appears that I’ve fallen victim to a rather dodgy scheme concerning loft insulation. They were inquiring whether I was a homeowner and my age range-specifically, whether I fell between 52 to 85 years old or beyond that. The chap on the phone was quite articulate, yet it was clear he was just reciting from a pre-prepared script. When I pressed him for details about which property he was referring to, he couldn’t provide a solid answer. Quite suspect, if you ask me!
