I’m pretty sure it was a scam. Got a recorded message telling me I’d been chosen to get a free £200 medical alert system and to call back to claim it. Then, about three hours later, another call came through with the same message but from a different number, still the same area code. Definitely dodgy.

total insulation ripoff. got a robotic voice when i picked up saying something like "hi, this is tom about the ‘loft lagging’ job you supposedly had done” (or words to that effect). never heard anyone say ‘oft lagging’ round here. they’ll need to come up with a better trick. i’m pretty sure they're using fake numbers coz they've rang me from a bunch of different 01202 codes. i’ve seen it all before - roofing scams, heating scams, bogus energy grants… endless nonsense. always the same story, a recorded voice acting like a real person. what a joke!

Seems like they've switched from doing roof insulation to selling medical emergency alert devices now. They also use the 08000487800 number. Just a heads up, be careful!

Didn’t recognise this number so I just let it ring out to voicemail like I usually do. No message was left though - they just hung up. Then I got two more calls from a blocked number one after the other, and both times they hung up right as my voicemail started. If I don’t know the number, it’s straight to answerphone. I’m at home most days because of being disabled, and now it’s a few calls every week about loft insulation or some fake accident I’ve supposedly been in. Honestly, it’s getting so annoying I’m seriously thinking about chucking my phone out altogether.
