I put this number on my block list a couple of days ago, but then they rang me again from 01202 159 715. When I asked how they got my contact, they claimed it was from an energy database that anyone can access. I told them I'd already blocked the previous number and was about to block this one as well. There’s this bloke called Chris who’s phoned me a few times claiming he’s from a local energy company, chatting about loft insulation and all that. We don’t get very far in the conversation. Not sure if it’s dodgy or not, but I’m so tired of getting calls from salespeople. I’ve already told him twice that a) it’s a brand new house so everything should be done properly, and b) I’m not interested, but it seems like they just don’t listen at all.

Got a call on Friday from someone saying they had info about our loft insulation from some kind of home reno database. I asked if they could check if our walls were insulated too. They couldn’t answer any questions and just ended the call. Then today they called again, said our loft insulation was out of date and kept mentioning this database and some government scheme. I asked again about the walls, and he wanted to know if I owned the house. Then he said his manager would ring me to explain everything. And cheekily, he asked how old I was. I told him that wasn’t really any of his business and he just hung up. Curious if the so-called manager will bother to call. Just wasting their time and amusing me really.

The bloke said he was ringing from Green Energy and started off by asking how I was. I cut him off quickly, asking where he got my number from. He replied it came from some Energy database. I told him that this number is actually on the Telephone Preference Service list, which stops unwanted calls like this. He went silent for a bit but didn’t hang up straight away. After a short pause, I just ended the call. Pretty clear he was after a sale.

Got a call from someone claiming to be an energy company rep wanting to set up a loft inspection. He mentioned his boss would give me a ring in about half an hour, but no call came through. While I was hanging around I looked up the number and found out it was a scam. The guy was really respectful and sounded quite trustworthy though.
