Got a call from some bloke claiming to be 'Chris from Home Improvement, again'. Was trying to sound all matey and familiar. We're on the TPS list, so they shouldn’t be ringing us up. This isn't the first time either - had a few calls like this trying to chat about saving energy on the house. Proper annoying!

They're definitely flouting the rules by ringing numbers signed up with the TPS. Every time they call, they tweak the last three digits, so it's really hard to block every single one. They seem to go after vulnerable people, setting up appointments for jobs that aren't actually necessary. My 90-year-old mum is getting calls nearly every hour. I've got a call blocker that stops most of them, but not all, especially since they pretend to know you so the call gets put through.

I ignored it and let it ring through to voicemail. Of course, no message was recorded. It's clearly some sort of scam. Proper irritating. The new number is blocked now as well.

That bloke 'Chris' has been ringing me non stop lately. Normally I just hang up straight away, but yesterday my step mum got all worried because he’d phoned her up claiming he’d be sending someone to check her loft out. So when he called me again, I decided to tell him exactly what I thought. Oddly enough, he hung up before I even got to finish having a good go at him! Bit disappointing really!

Got calls from a firm called "Eco Green Energy Centre Ltd". Their website says they're out of Cumbria, but the numbers they use are landlines from Bournemouth, which seems a bit dodgy. They bombard you with cold calls, switching up the numbers all the time - lately it’s been 01202 1595 followed by anything from 01 to 99. The people answering go by names like "Chris" and "David". When I asked them where they’d got my details, they just dodged the question, which I'm pretty sure breaks GDPR rules. Also, their calls seem to bypass the TPS, which is annoying. I’ve reported it to both the TPS and Action Fraud, hopefully something’ll be done about these nuisance calls.

I keep getting calls from this outfit called ‘the solar centre’ a couple of times a week. At first, it was a guy named Alex ringing, but today he suddenly switched to a Chris - not sure if it's the same person or not! I've tried everything: being polite and asking them nicely to take me off their list, having a laugh and doing a bad Manny from Fawlty Towers impression, or just keeping them chatting for ages before telling them to jog on. Honestly, I can’t fathom how these lot manage to face their mums without feeling awful.

This bloke called Chris keeps ringing me, using lots of numbers that are almost the same. I keep blocking them, but somehow he still manages to get through each time. He always claims he's from the Government and doing loft insulation around here, but I live in a ground-floor flat, so no loft at all! Proper annoying. Since 12th August 2021, this daft bloke’s been ringing eight different numbers all beginning with 012021. I've blocked every single one and reported them to Ofcom. Fingers crossed they track this person down and slap a hefty fine on them for those annoying silent calls.
