I got a call from 01202159327, turns out they're a company that does spray foam insulation.

Spoke to a cheerful older bloke who said he was a consultant for renewable energy around here. Once I mentioned that he’d called a business number and hinted he might upset quite a few folks if his info was off, he quickly said sorry for bothering me. Definitely different from the usual pushy sales calls or scams - he was really polite and could easily trick someone who isn’t careful.

Got a call from 01202 159327, some loft insulation scam. A bloke called "James" sounded quite polite at first but when I told him I'm on the TPS, he just hung up on me abruptly. Really not on, so watch out and tell your elderly relatives about this sort of caller. I'm labelling this number as HIGH-RISK because they clearly couldn’t care less about the Do Not Call list or anyone vulnerable - only after their own profit. Honestly, hope James’ mum is somewhere proud of him.

I overheard a bit of chatter that sounded like an office discussion on their end before they abruptly disconnected the call. Quite peculiar, if you ask me!

The lady on the line claimed to represent the 'Eco Centre', offering enhanced loft insulation that’s supposedly meant to boost energy efficiency. She also mentioned that the insulation currently in place might pose a minor health concern as flagged by 'the government'. However, since we had our insulation installed just last year, I checked with our installer who reassured me that there hadn't been any government alerts sent their way! The caller then informed me that their surveyor was scheduled to be in our area the next day (they seem to be perpetually in the vicinity) and could swing by to inspect our loft. Eventually, I managed to probe a bit deeper and learned that there would indeed be a 'contribution' expected from my end. As soon as I tried to decline the offer, the lady graciously decided to move on!

I informed her right away that I’m on the Do Not Call list and hadn’t agreed to any calls like that. Just as I was about to hang up, she suddenly shouted, “You’re a bloody miserable cow!” Lovely, eh?

Got a call from Lisa at Quality Home Solutions, but it wasn’t straight up what she was about. She kept mentioning some UK National Register about my rockwool insulation being a health risk and in urgent need of replacing. When I asked if she was pushing spray foam, she said no, but if you look at their reviews on Google and Trustpilot, it’s pretty shady. Seems like another gimmick spray foam outfit like Homelogic or Logicfoam UK. I’m not falling for it!!

He was talking about energy efficiency or something like that. The caller had my previous postcode, but when I told him I moved out five years ago, he just went ahead and called me silly, saying I had to have lived there once! Then he hung up on me. Total SCAM, stay away!

Got a call from some guy claiming to be from the "National ?? Agency" who was going on about roof and attic insulation. He definitely knew my name, the street I live on, and that I owned the place. Even though he spoke pretty clearly, he rattled his words off so fast - usually a giveaway for a spam call. I cut him off and didn’t let him carry on any longer.

When I inquired about the reason for her call, she had the audacity to reply with, "You ought to have some bloody manners!" Honestly, if they're trying to sell something, it's absurd to use such foul language towards a potential customer!

Some bloke called saying it was about new rules for government building regs. He already had my name, address, and mobile, which was kinda creepy. He said they'd be sending a letter to clear everything up. I wasn't convinced though - he didn't really explain much and somehow knew we'd done renovations through the old government energy grant years back. I'm not sure what to think, so I'll hold off until that letter turns up.
