5 yearsI got a call from 01202 159316, some bloke claiming to be from the government talking about energy advice and asked if my loft had insulation. I told him I don’t even have a loft, and then hung up. Then on Thursday 18th November, 01202 143277 rang me but I just let it go to voicemail, it buzzed for ages though. Same thing happened on Tuesday 23rd November with 01202 143295, I ignored it and it kept ringing forever. They seem to be using loads of different numbers, all starting with 01202 which I reckon is a Poole code. Best not to pick up or they’ll just keep calling back non-stop.Poole5 yearsGot a call on my landline from a guy named Chris saying he was an energy advisor for my area, but I don’t remember giving my number to any companies. Felt odd, so I just ended the call. The number was 01202 143160.Chris5 yearsGot loads of calls from numbers all starting with 01202, Bournemouth I think, but the last few digits keep changing. Seems like some sort of energy efficiency con. Best to just ignore any call from that area code.Bournemouth5 yearsI've been inundated with calls from that number for more than a month now. I tend to let the answering machine pick up, but it seems nobody bothers to leave a message. Quite odd, really!5 yearsI've received numerous calls from a rather charming individual claiming to be "Chris," purporting to be my local energy consultant with a keen interest in discussing loft insulation. He’s definitely persistent, to say the least. He often starts the conversation by presuming that I'm the homeowner. When I queried him about how he acquired that piece of information and who had tipped him off, he promptly disconnected our call. On his most recent attempt, he seemed more determined than ever to press on, even after I raised my voice about his earlier abrupt end to our chat just for asking a straightforward question. It was quite surreal how he maintained his politeness, sticking to his script while I vented my frustrations, completely disregarding my evident disinterest in conversing with him. I'm still contemplating my strategy for his next call-whether to escalate my ire to even greater heights or to take a more composed approach and play a few mind games with him.Chris5 yearsGot loads of calls on my landline from a bloke called Chris who claims he's the energy advisor for my area. The numbers keep changing a bit, but it’s always the same story. Pretty annoying!Chris5 yearsThey’ve rung me up 3 different times just today, and in total 4 times. Every time there's nothing but silence on the other end before they just disconnect.5 yearsGot a call from someone saying they were with my local energy company. I just hung up straight away. They’ve called me a couple of times before as well.Chris5 yearsInstead of arguing, just raise your voice louder than him and say that harassing people is against the law - that always makes him hang up.5 yearsThis morning at around 10 am, my phone rang, and before I even glanced at the screen, I had a hunch it was going to be ‘my local energy advisor for my postcode.’ And, indeed, it was! Instead of hanging up, this time I let him spill his spiel about loft insulation. He claimed that older insulation might cause condensation in certain homes, which I find utterly ridiculous. So, I decided to probe a bit. I said, “If you truly are my local energy advisor for this postcode, why don’t you tell me where I live?” He hesitated for a moment and then hastily replied, “Oh, right, have a lovely day, goodbye!” Clearly, he hasn’t the faintest idea about my residence and is just fishing for personal details. It’s blatantly a SCAM. All these calls seem to be originating from Bournemouth as well.Bournemouth5 yearsJust got a call from an unknown Plymouth landline, decided to hang up straight away as the number seemed unfamiliar.Plymouth5 yearsPretty clear he was just reading a script - started with “Hi, I’m Chris, how’re you doing? I’m reaching out because your address came up on a government register about outdated loft insulation and stuff like that.” When I asked which company he was with, he said Green Eco Systems from London. The moment I questioned him a bit more, he hung up straight away. This isn’t the first time he’s called me either, and he tends to get quite rude if you push back.ChrisGreen Eco SystemsLondon5 yearsThey said they were from a local energy company. Watch out, people!5 yearsGot a call from a number I don’t recognise, but I didn’t pick up and there wasn’t any message left on my voicemail either. Since they rang a number that’s not public, I’m pretty sure it’s some sort of scam or annoying sales call trying to trick me.5 yearsGot a call from some bloke saying ‘Hi, this is Chris from your local energy company, hope you’re doing alright today’.
