Got a call from an 01202 code again, every time its a different number but clearly the same scam tryna trick people.

Very much like the others, this caller said our house supposedly still has the 'old' loft insulation, and that surveyors were working nearby. When I tried to ask a question, he just kept babbling on like a politician, never letting me interrupt. Eventually, when I got a chance to speak, I asked how they knew what insulation we had and where they got such details from. He said it was from the government’s 'renewable energy' department. I then asked which firm he was with. He named some 'Green Eco Centre' in SW London - which I quickly Googled and couldn’t find anywhere 😂. He carried on with the usual spiel about the insulation being old and dangerous. I replied that we’ve lived here longer than he’s probably been alive, and no one’s ever come to check it before. Then he pushed for a survey, and even started asking my age! When I refused to say, telling him it wasn’t his business, he pushed further, trying to pin me down as being either 50-80 or over 80. I refused again, saying it’s not something I want to share. Says he needs to know for ‘grant eligibility’. Finally, I asked where he got my number from, since we’re ex-directory and on the TPS list. He dodged the question. I then told him it’s illegal to cold call like this, and he just went ‘uh huh’. So I asked if he realises that what he’s doing breaks the law. Right after that, he quickly said ‘have a good evening’ and hung up. Shame really, I was having a good laugh wasting his time and making my family giggle 😂😂.

I've been getting calls from the 01202 area code quite often these past few months. Since I don't know anyone in Bournemouth, I usually just ignore them. The number seems to change every now and then, but they never bother to leave any voicemail. I just wish they'd get the hint and take me off their list, especially as I'm registered with the TPS.

this guy chris keeps ringing me up about loft insulation, and i've already told him off and ended the call like 3 times!

Got a call from someone saying they were with the energy advice centre, telling me my loft insulation wasn’t good enough and offered a free survey. They mentioned something about spraying foam insulation inside the roof. Seemed fishy to me, so I just hung up straight away. Definitely felt like a scam.

Got a call from someone claiming to be with the driveway centre, they asked if I had a driveway. When I questioned the reason for asking, they just ended the call straight away.

Got a ring from a bloke named Chris about some loft insulation, number showed up as Mansfield Road in Bournemouth. When my missus said no to sharing any personal info, the caller just ended the call.

Got a call from someone in Bournemouth claiming to do an energy survey and talk about loft insulation. When I asked why he was ringing a number on the TPS list, he just hung up straight away. Proper daft!

I picked up and there was total silence, nobody said a word.

I’ve had a couple of calls lately. One bloke said he was a local energy consultant, and the other claimed to be from something called “the solar centre.” Both times the voice sounded pretty much the same, and on both calls the name Alex was given. Bit sus if you ask me.

I got a call from some bloke called Chris claiming to be the energy advisor for my area. When I asked which company he was with, he just ended the call. Pretty dodgy if you ask me.

Someone named Chris rang me saying he was with the "Green Eco Centre" based in London, offering a free assessment and report about my loft insulation potentially causing condensation issues. He claimed he’d found my details through the Energy Performance Register, linked to the government, but I’ve never had any such survey done on my home, and I’m signed up to the Telephone Preference Service. When I pressed him for more info, he mentioned they do Spray Foam Insulation. I warned him that in an older property like mine, that'd probably harm the roof timbers and told him to stop bothering me. Later, when I tried calling back to complain about this unsolicited call, at first it didn’t go through, then on my next try I heard a recorded message saying the calls were from "Digital Marketing Services" with an option to press 1 to opt out, which I did. Not sure what scam this is, but it definitely seems dodgy to me.

Today I got a call from some guy named Chris who claimed to be from our local energy company. Just as I started to ask him something, the call dropped. I looked up the area code afterwards and it definitely wasn't from around here. I mean, I live near Manchester, so calling Bournemouth local is a bit off, right?

Seems like there are loads of grumbles about him, and he’s also been ringing from 10202159284. Both numbers appear to be linked to somewhere on Mansfield Road in Bournemouth.
