I've received no fewer than five calls today from various numbers, all starting with 01202 159 xxx. I've promptly added them to my blocked contacts; at this rate, I might end up with a blacklist that covers every digit from 001 to 099! If they think they'll be getting through to me again, they're in for a rude awakening because I won't hold back on the colourful language!

Got a call about roof insulation from some bloke called Chris, saying they’d already done loads of houses on my road and that the old yellow stuff I have was causing mould and damp. He wouldn’t take no for an answer, kept pushing even though I told him to stop. After seeing other reviews mentioning robo calls and voice recognition, it all clicked. My number’s on the TPS list anyway, so I’ll be reporting it, but I doubt Chris’s number is even real - sounds like a spoofed one to me.

Got a call on my home phone from 01202159044. A bloke claimed he was with some energy saving group, talking about insulation put in at the house years back. I keep receiving calls from numbers starting with 01202, but with different endings each time. Answered one today and the bloke said my loft insulation wasn’t sufficient. That’s rubbish, I had it inspected fairly recently. How would they even know unless they worked for the company that did it before? I just received a rather odd call from a bloke professing to conduct surveys on loft insulation. He suggested that older types of insulation could be responsible for issues with damp and mould. He claimed our postcode had been randomly selected, and that several houses around us had already undergone this survey. When I probed for specifics about which properties he was referring to, there was a noticeable pause before he thanked me and abruptly ended the conversation. The way he circumvented my questions, coupled with his rather assertive tone, left me feeling rather uneasy.

A chap named Adam contacted me claiming that my mother needed to sort out her insurance for the new windows. Now, she did get those windows fitted three years back, so somehow these people had that information, but they weren’t actually covering her insurance. He was demanding a sum of £300, to which I firmly replied, “You can forget that.” He then mentioned it was a five-year deal and there’d be a cancellation fee. I think Adam got the message that I was rather irritated because he promptly cut the call. I tried to ring back, eager to let him have a piece of my mind, but was met with a recording saying the company was Digital Solutions. What a complete con! ‘Adam, if you fancy a chat about the policy face-to-face, do pop round, you cowardly git!
