Received a rather peculiar text saying: "Secure OTP 537315 for £735.82 at SELFRIDGES, UK. Should this not be something you initiated, please reach out to us at 01202 158221 without delay." Finding it all rather questionable, I decided to investigate the number and came across several comments regarding it. Out of sheer curiosity, I dialled the number despite my reservations… The call quality was atrocious, yet the chap on the other end claimed to be from Barclays' fraud prevention team. I answered "no" to all his probing questions, as I don’t hold an account with them. When he reassured me not to fret, I informed him that I had already conducted my research on the number, labelled it suspicious, and bid him farewell, calling him out as Mr. Fraudster!
