Got another ring from the same bloke, Tom, regarding a look at our loft insulation. Informed him it wasn’t us on the line. Ended up hanging up the phone.

Really pesky calls! They never bother to leave any message on the answerphone. These calls come every few hours, and the numbers are super close, like 01202 143597 and 01202 143598. They just keep ringing, trying to slip past the blocks I've set. Definitely looks like a scammer messing about.

Had a bloke turn up talking about some green homes scheme, trying to tell me my loft insulation was making the house damp. He said he could do a free survey and had a product to fix it. He reckoned all the neighbours had already had it done. He went on and on, proper hard to get a word in! Tried looking up the company and the insulation issue but found nothing, so I’m pretty sure it’s just another dodgy insulation con.

I’m pretty sure this was a scam call. The person started with “this property is eligible for…” and then asked for the address. I kept asking what the exact address was but they just kept reciting some script and didn’t answer me. Then they suddenly disconnected the call!

Spoke to someone from 01202143560 who claimed they were ringing about pendant alarms for seniors. They asked if I was over 55, and if I needed a walking stick or frame. When I mentioned I reckon I’m too young to need that kind of help, the caller just ended the call straight away. That’s when I found out it was a dodgy call - seemed legit until that point though.

I’ve seen this number pop up a few times already, so now I just tend to leave it ringing. Bit frustrating, but my phone won’t let me block specific numbers. These days, I don’t pick up unless the call’s from someone I know or at least local. If it’s important, they can always drop a voicemail, and then I decide if it’s worth listening to or just trashing.

I received a call from someone eager to peddle loft insulation, claiming mine could be the culprit behind some damp issues. Strangely enough, he seemed more keen on finding out my age than addressing the matter at hand. When I mentioned that my age was irrelevant to our conversation, he abruptly ended the call. Quite the cheeky approach, if you ask me!
