Received an unwanted marketing call regarding loft insulation.

Just got a call from someone claiming there's a government grant for insulating my home. They said if I'm interested, they'll do the work, but honestly, I didn’t ask for anything. What a waste of my time ringing me up like that!

I had a call this morning about insulation, sounded dodgy to me. If these "government programmes" were actually real, wouldn't they be on TV so people could check them out themselves? Instead, some random number rings up elderly folks way too early - not what I’d call trustworthy at all.

I received a rather peculiar call earlier from someone who claimed to be a senior executive in the housing sector, specifically focusing on the SN10 area, which coincidentally is the beginning of my own postcode. He promptly inquired whether I was the owner of number 1. I had to inform him that my residence is identified by a name rather than a numerical address. To my surprise, he abruptly ended the call without any further discussion. Quite odd, really!

I received a phone call from someone who claimed to be with a conservation organisation based in Staffordshire. They were after the homeowner, but I informed them that the homeowner was currently at their place of employment. Suddenly, they just ended the call. It was obvious that they were situated in a call centre, given all the chatter and noise in the background.

Someone called looking for my husband specifically. When I mentioned he wasn’t available and offered to jot down a message, the caller abruptly ended the conversation.

I received a call from a chap named Craig who mentioned something regarding a conservation firm. Apparently, there’s an issue with the loft insulation currently in place, as it’s allegedly been deemed hazardous. He proposed that they could swing by to take thermal images inside my loft. Strangely, he knew my name and seemed keen to verify if I’m the only one listed on the property deeds. I must say, I have my reservations about this whole thing. It all seems a bit dodgy to me, and I won't be getting roped into it.
