I had a call this morning about insulation, sounded dodgy to me. If these "government programmes" were actually real, wouldn't they be on TV so people could check them out themselves? Instead, some random number rings up elderly folks way too early - not what I’d call trustworthy at all.

Somebody rang me, said he was in charge of senior housing around SN10, which is part of my postcode. He asked if I owned number 1, but I explained my place just has a name, no number. After that, he just ended the call without saying anything else.

Got a call from some bloke claiming to be from Staffordshire Conservation or whatever. He asked if the homeowner was about. I told him I was actually at work, and then he just ended the call. You could tell it was a callcentre with all the noise in the background.

The woman called and specifically wanted to speak with my husband. I told her he wasn’t in and asked if I could pass a message along, but she just ended the call straight away.

Got a call from someone calling himself Craig, talking about some company concerned with insulation. He claimed the insulation in our loft is supposedly dangerous now and asked if they could come by to do some heat scans inside. He did know my name though, and asked if I was the only person on the property deeds. Something about it felt really dodgy so I’m definitely ignoring it. Seems like a sketchy setup to me.
