Beware of loft insulation scams, quite perilous indeed!

I never pick up calls from unknown numbers like 01202 1433024. If it’s someone I know, their name shows up on my screen, otherwise I just let it go to voicemail. When I’m near the phone and they say who's calling or what they want, I decide then if I’ll answer. Still, those annoying persistent calls are just so frustrating.

As others have pointed out regarding similar numbers with slight variations, the individual orchestrating this con is none other than a certain Stuart Wright. His address is 21A Plymouth Road, Barnt Green, Birmingham, B45 8JF. All these numbers trace back to him, which explains how he’s able to reside in such a lovely property; he’s raking in the cash by deceiving unsuspecting folks! Despite having been reported, he continues his dubious activities. It's crucial that everyone keeps flagging this up so that action can be taken, as we shouldn’t have to tolerate this sort of behaviour!

I've been getting loads of calls on my home phone from these lot who keep switching up the last three numbers of their Bournemouth line to dodge being blocked. Didn't really catch who it was at first, but the guy claimed it wasn’t a sales pitch. As soon as he said that, I just hung up straight away. Tried ringing back with my number hidden but the call never went through. Proper annoying!

I've been getting loads of calls about loft insulation, but they never bother to leave a message when it goes to voicemail. Feels like a total scam with how often they ring me.

I received a call regarding a medical pendant, and when I pressed them on their claims, they mentioned that they obtained their information from a so-called 'data provider.' Interestingly, they claimed that the data was tailored towards the older demographic, which seems rather dubious to me.

i’ve been getting calls from 01202 numbers non stop for what feels like forever. i don’t pick up, but they just keep ringing. the last few digits always change so blocking them doesn’t work. i’ve even contacted bt to see if they can block the entire area code, and i’d tell others to try that too. maybe these pest callers would stop if they had to switch numbers all the time!

There was nothing but quiet when I answered, and then they just cut me off after a few seconds.

Got a call from some bloke named ‘Alex’ - his voice was definitely male, if that makes a difference. He was trying to tell me I might get a free medical lanyard, but only if I could prove I’m over 50. Thing is, I’m signed up with the telephone preference service and really don’t appreciate these random cold calls. I’d be happy to team up with others who find this annoying too, especially since these companies can get fined for ignoring the rules.

This so-called home energy advisor rings me up like three or four times every single day. It's proper annoying!

some bloke called alex said he was an energy advisor for our area and swore he wasnt selling anything. he rings like 2 to 4 times daily. we think these calls are sketchy. we're on the tps list so no idea why they still get through, feels like harassment. now we just block or ignore any calls coming from the bournemouth dialling code.

They rang me earlier today but didn’t bother leaving any message. Maybe it was the Welsh greeting I’ve got on my answering machine that put them off.

I’m pretty certain he mentioned he was with Green Trace Architects. The bloke called himself Alex and wasn’t trying to sell me anything, which was a bit odd. I told him he sounded just like a guy who kept ringing me nonstop until recently. Had a look into the company and it seems legit, I’ve definitely heard of them before, but I can't imagine they’d be cold calling people. Plus, the number he used won’t even let you ring back. Strange all round.

I answered the phone but there was silence, happened again yesterday. Just annoying calls really.

We just don’t pick up when the number starts with this code anymore, it’s always some sort of scam or annoying telemarketer. They’ve tried to sell stuff about energy ratings and insulation before.

Got a call about maybe qualifying for some sort of medical alert gadget.

When I asked if it was some kinda scam, the caller just cut off straight away. Pretty obvious to me!

I got a call from someone claiming to represent a health-related service, but the start of their message was all distorted and unclear. They said I could qualify for a free medical alert device and asked if I was over 50. I slipped up and said yes (which is probably a no-no with scammers) and asked them to say the name of their company again. Right after that, the line just went dead. Definitely doesn’t seem legit, plus I’m on the phone preference list so shouldn’t be getting these spam calls at all.

Today, I've had four calls all from numbers that look pretty similar (01202 143307 rang twice earlier, then 01202 143319, and most recently 143324). This follows a bunch of calls like this over the past few days. I've stopped picking up now, but I saw others on this site saying it's a common scam wanting info about energy savings or insulation stuff. It's best to just ignore these lot and make sure you report them to action fraud - they seem pretty dodgy.

I was informed that I qualified for a medical alert pendant. However, the call ended abruptly once I mentioned that they had called a business number.

Whenever I receive a call from an unfamiliar number, I prefer to just remain silent after picking up. I thought that maybe this time it would be different, but the moment I answered, the caller dove straight into a spiel about medical alert pendants, beginning with 'you could qualify for a medical alert pendant...' I swiftly hung up, as it was clearly just a fraudulent attempt.

I had a rather persistent caller insisting I required a medical pendant. No matter how many times I declined, he carried on. Eventually, I lost my patience, hung up, and made sure to block the number.

In recent weeks, I've had quite the annoyance with a pair of numbers, namely 01202143309 and 01202143324. They've been ringing me two or three times daily, and to be honest, I haven’t the foggiest idea why. We use Call Guardian, and unless the caller identifies themselves, the call doesn’t get through. Unfortunately, these seem to be automated nuisances that obviously can’t introduce themselves. It's becoming rather irksome, I must say!

I received a call from a number I didn't recognise, and they didn't bother to leave a message. It’s been a bit of a nuisance lately, as I've had calls from other odd numbers too, specifically 299, 281, 302, 303, 304, 306, and 310. Quite the string of mystery calls, if you ask me!

I received a phone call at four o'clock this afternoon from someone identifying himself as Alex, supposedly representing the Green Guideline Centre. He assured me that he wasn't selling anything, which made me a tad suspicious right from the start. He proceeded to inquire about my boiler type, whether I had loft insulation, and if my walls had cavity insulation. To top it off, he asked about my age group and if I was receiving any benefits. At that point, my caution kicked in, and when he requested my name, I politely declined. After the conversation ended, I decided to investigate further and couldn’t find a trace of the Green Guideline Centre on Google, which raised my eyebrow even more.

Blimey, these muppets won't stop ringing my home phone, tweaking the final three digits of their Bournemouth number to dodge my call blocking! I didn’t catch the chap’s name, but he insisted this wasn’t a sales call. I just clicked off straight away. Tried to ring them back with my number hidden, but surprise, surprise, it wouldn’t even connect.

I've been tormented by 01202 calls for what feels like an eternity! I never pick up, yet they incessantly ring me. The final digits change with every call, making it impossible to block them altogether. I've reached out to BT to see if they can implement area code blocking for these pesky calls, and I encourage others to do likewise. Perhaps these nuisances would think twice if they had to keep relocating every time!
