Someone rang up claiming to be from a nearby firm trying to pitch loft insulation. When I told him I’m on the TPS list, he just carried on like I hadn’t said a word. He went on for ages about how great loft insulation is, then asked if mine was the pink fluffy kind. I just said once again that I’m registered with TPS and they’re not supposed to be calling me. I said “Good morning” and quickly ended the call.

Between 19th and 29th July 2021, this number got in touch with me thrice, but each time they didn’t leave any voicemail.

Phone rang, I picked up right away cos I was nearby, but no one spoke. Just silence then dead air. After about ten seconds, the call dropped with a strange buzzing noise. Sounds like one of those automated diallers, you know, the kind that guesses when someone will pick up so a live person can jump in. Quick answers seem to confuse them - if no one’s ready to chat quickly enough, they just give up and hang up. This number's phoned me twice before, both times some telemarketers. First one tried to get hold of whoever pays the electricity bill. I told them we've got solar panels and actually make a profit on our electricity, then they abruptly hung up - bit funny really. The second call came from a younger bloke who kept going on about how my ‘insulation’ was making me ill. After a while he switched to saying the insulation was causing damp and harming the floor joists. I asked him repeatedly which insulation he was talking about but he dodged the question. I explained that our house is eco-friendly with solid walls and a roof covered in soil and wildflowers, no insulation anywhere. That’s when he wished me a ‘nice day’ and dropped the call. Pretty amusing, I reckon I had more patience than them. Anyway, after all that, I’ve blocked the number on my phone so I won’t get disturbed by it anymore.

I hung up straight away when he called about the washing machine insurance, but he just phoned me back right away and started saying some really horrible things. Ended up blocking the number.
