I just got an automated call telling me they’re going to shut down my email account. Pretty sure it’s a scam but it caught me off guard.

When I asked why they were calling, the person sounded quite pushy. They wanted to speak to the homeowner by name, and after I asked again what the call was about, they said they’d call me back on their mobile and then just hung up suddenly.

This is the third time they've rung me about loft insulation. I've already told them twice I don't want anyone coming to my house because of shielding. Not sure if it's just telemarketers or some sort of scam?

I picked up and heard some weird sounds, then it just went dead - really frustrating. I’ve now blocked the number. When will all this stop? The phone companies really ought to take action and prosecute once they’re made aware of these calls.

They said they were from some conservation place and asked if I owned the property. When I said yes, they then asked if I was certain I wasn’t renting it out. Right after that, they just hung up. I tried calling the number back but it went straight to voicemail, so I ended the call and have now blocked the number.

some bloke rang claiming to be from a conservation society in west sussex and wanted to check if i was the homeowner. i asked for a bit more detail before saying anything, and he goes on about how he might be wasting his time if i wasn’t the right person and said someone else might call because we’d apparently started off on the wrong foot. then he just hung up! felt really odd and a bit snippy, not the sort of attitude i’d expect from anyone doing call centre stuff!

Received a call about loft insulation. The typical traits of a sociopath were evident, much like most salespeople. I attempted to ring back to voice my dissatisfaction and was subjected to an endless loop of "your call is of utmost importance to us" for what felt like an eternity-over an hour, in fact! And just when I thought I’d get to speak to someone, the line went dead on me. What a farce!
