Received a call from someone claiming to be an 'Energy Adviser.' When I corrected them on how my name is said, they got really rude.

Got a call from Central Energy Group about a survey. They were saying my cavity insulation could be the issue. Quite odd, wasn't really expecting that.

This guy rang me, saying something about my name popping up on his system for energy savings or sumthin. I was waiting for an important call cos my dog’s at the vet. He was chatting away so quickly I could barely get a word in. Every time I tried to say something, he just kept going on with his script like he wasn’t interested in listening. I told him he was holding up the line, cos I was expecting a call. Was about to mention the vet when he suddenly cuts me off and shouts, “You miserable old cow, why don’t you just piss off, you damn wrench!” and then he just hung up. Proper rude!

SCAM ALERT - I got a call from someone claiming that my loft insulation required inspection because it was supposedly older than 15 years - which it definitely isn’t. They kept saying my address was on their database but when I asked how that was possible, they dodged the question and insisted that EVERYONE was listed on it. Funny how that lines up with all the fuss about new privacy and data protection laws they were raving about last year, huh?

Got a call from a bloke called James who already had my name and where I live. He asked if I could verify I owned the place. I told him I wasn’t the owner, and he sounded pretty shocked. Then he said he’d make a note of it. He was really polite about the whole thing and even said sorry for bothering me!

Got a call on my home phone earlier and the bloke was quite abrupt, asking me straight away who I was. When I replied ‘yes, speaking’, the line went dead on me. Strange behaviour!

I answered and they asked if I was a certain name, I said yes. Then they wanted to check my address, so I asked what the call concerned. They said unless I was the homeowner, Jess couldn’t go on. So I just said thanks and ended the call.

I didn’t bother answering when it rang, but later checked the voicemail. Some bloke left a rant about women trying to get jobs, nothing useful at all. Definitely not something I needed to listen to! Wouldn’t recommend picking up. The number calls quite a bit, but this was the first time there was actually a message left!

I got hit up twice with calls today from some bloke who said his name was Tim Taylor. He sounded like he was a bit tipsy and was going on about cavity foam insulation - total scam, no doubt. I’ve blocked the number now.

They called sayin we got insulation done 15 years back as part of some green scheme, and it's on their records needing a check - which is totally wrong, we never had it. Ended up just putting the phone down on them.

Mum received a rather strange call from 01202076500. The caller asked her about two names, and after she confirmed she recognised them, he just cut off without a word! I advised her to tell them to clear off and mentioned that we should look into a service to combat these pesky cold callers for her.

Got a call about loft insulation, even tho we’d just had ours sorted not long ago. The guy said he’d pop round to have a look and mentioned something about needing work on the roof rafters as well. I told him it was all done quite recently, then he said he’d remove my details from their list. But isnt cold calling meant to be banned since GDPR came in? Bit confusing really.

Some bloke called claiming he was from Grant Thornton, saying they were giving free checks for cavity wall issues. When I told him cold calls aren’t really my thing and asked him to stop, he got pretty rude and started going on about how he's allowed to call whoever he wants. I just let him carry on for a bit before he finally hung up.

Got a call from some guy calling himself Timothy Taylor, reckon he’s a fan of beer or summat. He was rabbiting on about damp coming from cavity wall insulation in my postcode. The cheeky sod even tried to get past call guardian. I ended up giving him a piece of my mind about his own life and then blocked him straight away.
