I received an incessant barrage of phone calls yesterday from someone who sounded quite pushy and perhaps of Indian descent, haranguing me about various government schemes. Their manner was rather off-putting, to say the least.

some guy called tony said he was from openreach and needed to check out our offices, he also kept trying to sell us CCTV and door locks. was really persistent and annoying.

Received a call on my mobile, but I've no clue who's behind it. Honestly, I'd rather not find out. I'm just keen for them to cease and desist!

This guy called me asking if I was the business owner and then said he was from Openreach, threatening to cut off our phone line. Sounded totally fishy to me. I just said that seemed dodgy, ended the call, and blocked the number straight away. Good to see other folks have reported this number too.

Got a call from a bloke with an Indian accent, sounded like he was trying to convince me he knew my number was linked to a business. I kept it pretty unclear on purpose, then he asked if I didn’t use the phone for work. I just ended the call. It’s a pay-as-you-go sim that used to be for business, but honestly, these calls are so annoying I’m done with them.

i got a ring while i was at work, they wanted to talk to the boss but when i gave them a directors name instead, they just said the boss was away on holiday then thanked me and hung up. sounds just like the scam calls ive seen mentioned before, so pretty sure it was a dodgy call.

He claimed to be with BT, but these dodgy calls never really say who they are unless you ask. Honestly, it’s not the best way to do business over the phone, if you ask me. Watch out!

I got a call from a telecom company saying Openreach is phasing out copper cables. The guy asked if he could talk to the owner of the business. Bit suspicious if you ask me.
