I've had three different calls today, all from various numbers, trying to persuade me to switch broadband. Felt a bit iffy about it, so I went ahead and blocked the unknown numbers just in case they were dodgy.

I got a call from this number and a woman said she was ringing from EE. I told her we actually use BT, not EE. She then claimed EE and BT are basically the same company. I asked what the call was about, and she said she wanted to chat about my broadband prices and offer some assistance. I told her I’d hang up and ring back myself to make sure it was legit. She kept asking which number I’d call, and I replied I’d use the number from my online account. Suddenly, she said she wasn’t from the broadband provider at all, just someone helping people out with their broadband. I said I didn’t need any help, and then she just cut the call.
