I don’t wanna sound like I’m being suspicious or paranoid, but sometimes I can’t stop thinking that these calls aren’t really to sell stuff or scam you. Maybe they’re just trying to get a hold of your voice. What makes me think this is all the calls I get where nothing makes sense, or no one talks but you still can hear someone on the line. Sounds crazy, like some conspiracy theory, I know. You’re probably thinking that’s just paranoid. But honestly, a lot of those “crazy” conspiracy theories ended up proving true in the end.

Somebody called out my name from afar, "Is that Mr H?" I replied yes and then they just ended the call. No follow-up, so I figure it's either a scam or some sort of check on identities. Probably best if you don't know the number to pick up and stay quiet until the caller shows who they really are. Scammers are clever, using local numbers to make it seem legit so people fall for it easier.
