I don’t wanna sound like I’m being suspicious or paranoid, but sometimes I can’t stop thinking that these calls aren’t really to sell stuff or scam you. Maybe they’re just trying to get a hold of your voice. What makes me think this is all the calls I get where nothing makes sense, or no one talks but you still can hear someone on the line. Sounds crazy, like some conspiracy theory, I know. You’re probably thinking that’s just paranoid. But honestly, a lot of those “crazy” conspiracy theories ended up proving true in the end.

Somebody called out my name from afar, "Is that Mr H?" I replied yes and then they just ended the call. No follow-up, so I figure it's either a scam or some sort of check on identities. Probably best if you don't know the number to pick up and stay quiet until the caller shows who they really are.
