I reached out to TalkTalk on Twitter, and they confirmed that the number I received from a call claiming to be their customer service was definitely not theirs. The chap on the line-who was of Asian descent-stated he was from TalkTalk and mentioned there were problems with my router. He suggested I pop over to Google to download some software, which really set off alarm bells for me. I thought it all seemed rather suspicious, so I promptly ended the call.
