For sure a scam. They claim they’ve got trailers and some plant equipment I’m looking for (maybe they spotted an ad I put up). Said they have just what I want and it's bloody cheap too. But first, they ask for a deposit to “hold” the items before I even get to see them. It’s the kind of trick that sucks in anyone who’s not careful. Complete rubbish.

My Dad got a call from someone claiming they were from the head office of his bank. They tried to trick him by saying they’d do a “scam check” on his account and asked him to move money around. They also warned him not to talk to any bank employees because supposedly one of them was being investigated. After that, they kept ringing him over and over. Totally dodgy.

Total con - they target older folks, pushing them to take out money and pressurising those who are easily influenced to hand over cash.
