At around 3.40am on a Saturday, my landline got called but I couldn’t pick up quick enough. When I tried ringing back that number, it just wouldn’t connect. Then, at 7.20am, a different phone number called me and it turned out to be the out of hours doctor giving me an update on blood test results. I asked if they were the ones who’d called earlier at 3.40am, and she explained that sometimes blood test results come in during the night and they need to follow up if there’s any problems.

i got a phone call really late around 11:15pm from someone named peter steadman who said he was a doctor on call. he started asking loads of questions about my health which felt odd to me since who phones at that time for medical stuff? has anybody else come across this and what did you do? cheers, tracey.

Some bloke rang me early, said he was some kind of duty doctor and insisted I needed to get to A&E at Colchester hospital straight away. I told him I couldn't make it, so he told me to contact my own GP. Funny thing is, my GP called me at 8am and gave me similar advice but had no clue about any duty doctor. The call came through around 6:30 in the morning from a landline, number was 01189902206y.

Gave them a ring, but they hung up without leaving a message.

I can’t understand why online printers keep ringing me up, really baffling. I reckon some dodgy bloke might have flogged my old phone number off, even though I’m signed up with that telephone preference service. What a pain!
