When the phone rang, my partner picked up and there was a man on the line who sounded Indian but gave a very English name instead. He claimed he was calling on behalf of BT, but my partner wasn’t having any of it and ended the call quickly. Since we aren’t BT customers, it was pretty obvious to him straightaway that it was just some dodgy scam.
