Received a phone call at my workplace from someone claiming to be from Microsoft, alleging there was a problem with our computer. I didn't hesitate to cut the conversation short and hung up on them.

I recently received a rather unsettling automated call purporting to be from 'card security', claiming that my debit card had been used on two separate occasions. I have to say, this is clearly a scam since they didn’t even bother to mention which bank they represented. Utterly dodgy!
