Oops, I just realised the message I typed was meant for this number, not the one that popped up when I pressed send. My bad!

I received a call from this number at precisely 3:14 PM today. When I picked up, all I heard was a click before the line went silent. It’s clearly one of those pesky nuisance calls where they randomly ring a bunch of people, only engaging with a handful. What took me aback was that it came from an 0118 number! Out of curiosity, I rang it back and was greeted by a rather curt chap - possibly foreign - who surprisingly knew my name (so it wasn’t a wrong number). He mumbled something about a colleague and then just hung up on me. Quite frustrating, I must say!

I'm receiving multiple calls daily from this number, and it's increasingly frustrating. I've taken to ignoring the calls and letting my answerphone handle it, as I'm tired of the constant interruptions. I’ve registered with the Telephone Preference Service, but this is becoming absurd, and I would like this number to be blocked. They never leave a message, which makes me suspect it's some sort of marketing ploy.
